In 2002, a task force was formed by Governor Ruth Ann Minner to learn why cancer incidence and mortality in Delaware was among the highest in the nation. Volunteers from medical communities, practitioners, legislators, the division of public health and cancer patients themselves were instrumental in developing an actionable, measurable four-year plan.

This website tells our story. We invite you to learn about our programs and services, our awareness and education campaigns and all the other things we’re doing to lessen the cancer burden in Delaware. Thanks to the dedication of our committee members, our Governor and the General Assembly who have funded these efforts, and the many volunteers and friends who support our cause, we are beginning to make a difference in the health of every Delawarean.
