1st Annual Retreat

Thursday, February 7th, 2008, 8:30am - 4:30pm

The Delaware Cancer Consortium held an all-member retreat on February 7, 2008, to gain new insight and information, celebrate accomplishments and plan for the challenges ahead.

The Day's Agenda was:

  • 8:30am - 9:00am: Continental Breakfast
  • 9:00am - 10:15am:
    Welcome Address: DCC, Chair, Mr. William Bowser
    Keynote Address: Mr. Tom Kean, Executive Director, C-Change
    Placing the DCC activities & accomplishments within a national context
  • 10:15am - 10:30am: Break (refreshments)
  • 10:30am - 12:00pm: Presentations (Five DCC Committee will present 15 minutes each on accomplishments to date and/or plans to achieve Purple Book goals in years 1-4.)
  • 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunch with Testimonials from Delawareans impacted by Delaware’s Cancer Programs
  • 1:00pm - 2:00pm: Presentations (Four DCC Committees)
  • 2:00pm - 2:15pm: Break (refreshments)
  • 2:15pm - 3:15pm: Workshop Sessions (3 concurrent workshops – see below)
  • 3:15pm - 4:15pm: Workshop Sessions (3 concurrent workshops – see below)
  • 4:15pm - 4:30pm: Closing (evaluations and incentive item)

  • William W. Bowser, Esq., chairperson, Delaware Cancer Consortium, welcomes attendees and sets the stage for a day of learning and planning.
